A late 18th early 19th (1790-1820) George III boxwood strung mahogany cellarette-on-stand or Tantalus, the hinged top opening to reveal nine bottle divisions having six bottles and brass carrying handles mounted to the sides. Satinwood banding, string marquetry inlaid top, seated on brass castors and measuring approx 28" tall x 14" x 14". Note lock is not working.
