1910 Harry Gowdy Signed Baseball Player Contract New York Giants
Description
Amazing player contract signed in 1910 ans 1911. This was World Series era for the Giants. Contract is signed by their legendary owner, John Brush who passed away in 1912. One can imagine how difficult his signature is to obtain. Also signed twice on the cover page by National Leage President TJ Lynch. Once for this contract and one to approve Howdy’s trade to the Boston Braves – who he helped win a World Series with! Gowdyæwas involved in MLB for decades and is a legend in Columbus, Ohio. For years a field was named in his honor. This contract is dated November 19, 1910 for the amount of $1500. Fine condition with signs of age and and glue reside on the reverse from display. These contracts were originally tri-folded. This one has not been folded in a very long time. You are looking at a piece of history!
