From time to time there are items that we come across in the hobby that just stop you in your tracks. Sometimes it is due to rarity, value, historical importance or simply a coolness factor. Occasionally you get chills and the hair on your arms stands up. Once in a decade your are speechless. This item triggered all of the emotions at once resulting in what is probably equivalent to a teenage girl at a Beatles concert or an old dude wetting himself. When a Cleveland baseball legend writes notes to you you must be a big deal. A legend in the making, perhaps? Hailing from Austintown Fitch, a lifelong suffering Cleveland sports fan, Kenny gained popularity on the shores of Lake Erie for his acute knowledge of so many aspects of Cleveland sports history and his pleasantly refreshing no BS take on what was going on. As a collector his knowledge was unmatched in many areas. You might bump into him while on the prowl at an auction, card show, or flea market unearthing one of his legendary finds. He became an expert at all things Joe Dimaggio and could probably write a biography from memory. In the age of the internet he also mastered the art of online sales such as eBay. The legend continued to soar and he was able to capitalize on much of his collection.æThis index card is most likely the result of One Ken jabbing another Ken about his favorite player, Joe D. We assume that there is a great story that goes with this Ken Keltner autograph. There are two other known examples. It is JSA certified, so it must be good!
