Description
A collection of some of the earliest types of photography. This lot has a unique look that shows off early photography methods. The images still maintain a good clarity and are housed in ornate folding frames. Most of the images are portraits, generally an adult seated for their photo. One notable image is a portrait of a small child in a stroller. Some of the images contains the names of the subject, such as Henry Bissell (sp), and Josiah Scott. These notes also appear to have some insight into how one has passed, indicating he was likely a soldier. Some frames are marked with a stamp of A.B. Weekes which was possibly the photographer. These interesting images would make great decorative pieces or for photography collectors. The smallest portrait is 3" x 2", most images are 3.5" x 3" and the largest are 6" x 5". See Photos
