Description
Professionally restored and framed by The old Prints and Maps Shop in New York is this early 17th century hand colored map of Tartria by cartographer Jodocus Hondius. Map covers vast area of central and northern Asia, forests, mountains, Korea as an island and adorned with nomadic people, serpents and grotesque faces. Measuring approx. 22" tall by 27.5" wide. In overall good condition with approx. 1.5" tear near center crease, see photos.
