19th Century American Salt-Glazed Stoneware Whiskey Jug
Description
American 19th century salt-glazed stoneware whiskey jug. Having robust ovoid body, a short cylindrical neck and sturdy applied loop handle. Exterior displays highly textured "orange peel" finish characteristic of traditional salt-glaze techniques. Measuring approx. 11 1/2" tall by 8 3/4" diameter. In good age appropriate condition with chips to spout rim, hairline across base and lower body, see photos.
