Description
Late 19th century German or Eastern European hardwood keepsake or document box. The hinged rectangular lid features recessed panel decorated with geometric marquetry in a multi-toned star motif flanked by two carved rosettes. The interior opens to a fully removable three compartment tray, ideal for pens and inkwell placement. Measuring approx. 12.75" wide by 5" tall by 7" deep. In good age appropriate condition with slight separation/split to backside of lid, see photos.
