Unusual Tulip Back American Quarter Sawn Oak Chair
Description
Unusual late 19th early 20th century American oak tall back chair having five reeded posted widen as the ascend into pointed leaves or tulip tops. The two outer leave posted descend becoming the back legs as shown. Peg construction. Circa 1890-1905 Having late Victorian and Arts and Crafts influences. Measuring approx 44" tall with a 11" seat height on front bulbous legs. Good overall condition as shown. Lightly loose glue joints.
