Four 1938-1940 era Aviation and Navigation hard back books from the Feller residence library. book to include are:1942 second printing "Manual of Celestial Navigation" by Arthur A. Ageton Commander, UNITED STATES NAVY. Head of the Navigation Division of the Department of Seamanship and Navigation U.S. Naval Academy bearing the feller library stamp inside front cover, Radio Engineering second edition 1937 by Frederick Emmons Terman also having the Feller library stamp inside front cover, Primer of Navigation by George W. Mixter also having the Feller library stamp inside front cover and the last book is Through The Overcast by Assen Jordeanoff 1941 edition book having the Feller library stamped inside front cover as shown. See photos for all the details. Bob was named ‘The Greatest Pitcher’ of his time for the Cleveland Indians and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1962. He played 18 seasons for the Indians, was an 8 time ‘All Star’ and ranked 36 out of 100 in the list of 100 of the Greatest Baseball Players in the ‘Sporting News’. At the age of 23 he was the first American professional athlete to enlist in the military the day after the attack on Pearl Harbor. Direct Provenance from the Resident Estate of Bob and Anne Feller, Gates Mills, Ohio. Many of these items have been reconsigned to us from a few year back when Premier Auction Galleries liquidated the Feller’s Estate here in Gates Mills Ohio after the unfortunate passing of Ann Feller.
