Featuring bronze classical maiden naturalistically modeled barefoot in wind swept drapery holding a seashell to her right ear in a allegorical pose while her left hand resting on a rocky stone and foliage pillar. The sculpture rests upon a multi-tiered rouge marble architectural base, accented with variegated red and cream tones. The two step front case houses a circular brass clock dial featuring black numerals, protected by a hinged beveled glass bezel. The case is elevated on elaborate, ornate gilt-metal acanthus leaf tapering to claw feet. Measuring approx. 22 3/4" tall by 12 1/8" wide at feet by 7" deep at feet. In good age appropriate condition with some fading to numbers on dial and break/repair to top left corner marble, see photos.
