Description
Circa 1930 Art Deco bronze figural sculpture by noted French sculptor Henri Desire Grisard. Depicting a reclining female nude leaning casually against a naturalistic mound, her fingers delicately positioned as she plays a multi-piped pan flute. She is accompanied by a attentive doe resting closely by her side. Both figures feature a rich, warm golden-bronze patina that beautifully accentuates the sleek lines and geometric forms characteristic of the period. The figural group is mounted onto its original, multi-tiered stepped base crafted from finely polished, multi-toned cream and caramel onyx base. Measuring approx. 8" tall by 18.75" long by 5.5" wide.
