Description
Authentic 19th century British Military flash-proof cordite container. Historically known as a "Clarkson Case" this cylindrical bucket constructed from a heavy cork and canvas shell wrapped in durable, hardened brown leather designed to prevent accidental static or sparking during gunpowder transit. The front facade features the British Royal Coat of Arms. Measuring approx. 13 7/8" tall by 8 1/4" wide. In good age appropriate condition with signs of age, wear and use, see photos.
