Description
This intricately hand carved mid 20th century Chinese export camphor wood blanket chest features high-relief panels depicting auspicious cranes, peng, and pheasants amidst a lush landscape of peonies and foliage. Highly functional and naturally moth resistant, the chest opens to a clean camphor-lined interior secured by its original brass hardware. Measuring approx. 23.75" tall by 40" wide by 20.5" deep. In good condition with separation/split to exterior of lid (still sturdy with no function issues) and small piece of wood missingÊ, see photos.
