Description
Late 19th century spelter statue depicting a nobleman or cavalier in full French period regalia. The figure is modeled after the historical figure of the Duc de VendomeÊ(illegitimate son of French King Henri IV).Dressed in an ornate doublet, ruffled collar, and high boots, he stands confidently leaning upon a long rapier. Set atop a multi-tiered circular base featuring an integrated decorative cartouche bearing the title "VENDOME". Measuring approx. 31.5" tall. In good age appropriate condition, with a few areas of chips/scuffs, see photos.
