Description
Pair of 20th century Maitland-Smith Neoclassical style console tables, rectangular top over deeply carved apron with openwork fretwork and stylized floral rosettes. Supported by elegant cabriole legs, each prominently anchored at the knee by an expressive, finely detailed lion mask retaining a ring in its jaws. The legs terminate in robust, intricately carved hairy lion-paw feet. The accents are highlighted with rich gold decoration against a warm, dark stained hardwood body. Measuring approx. 35.5" tall by 35" wide by 18.75" deep. In good condition with one having scrollwork repair and small piece missing, see photos.
