Description
A French Louis XV-style curio vitrine is an elegant, ornate display cabinet that draws its inspiration from the Rococo period of 18th-century France. Having marble top and glass interior shelves. Known for comfort and delicate, curved forms, Louis XV furniture moved away from the angular, imposing styles of the previous era. Vitrines and curio cabinets, originally used in the cabinets of curiosities, became especially popular during the 19th-century Victorian era. Curved glass panels: The front and sides often feature bowed or serpentine curved glass, distinguishing it from straighter cabinet styles and offering a more panoramic view of the contents. Decorative bronze, often gilded, is used for embellishments on the legs, edges, and trim. The craftsmanship of these mounts is a hallmark of the style. Measuring approx 48" x 28" x 15. Condition is good as shown
